POEMECASTING CIRCLE
This guided circle is to help you reconnect with yourself and your intentions. Inspired by ancient traditions and my personal practice, Poemcasting Circle invites you to explore how the energies of the sacred directions can offer insight into your current life journey.
We’ll begin with journaling and sharing in a supportive environment. Then, using a poetic practice called Meter Magic, we’ll shape our intentions into a simple, powerful spell—a poetic “amulet” you can return to for strength and inspiration throughout the month . . .
Follows the cycle of the Nine Meters of the Month.
FORMAL FEELING WORKSHOP
This workshop offers the opportunity to learn meter and form through the poems your artstic path needs you to write, forging a shared poetic vocabulary among poets excited about meter and form, even as it urges you towards your own distinctive voice. Limited to 9 poets, it ensures time to discuss a poem from each member and to weave in teachings about meter, form, and scansion as they arise naturally from your poems. Supportive resources on meter are available. You will not need to be expert in meter and scansion, but you will need to be eager to practice them. We consider first any poems written in the Meter of the Month, but all meters and form are welcome.
POETESS & PRIESTESS COMMUNITY
I designed Meter Magic Spiral to share rich, in-depth resources and practice in meter in an accessible 24/7 women’s community. Each month unveils a wealth of video, text, and much more, opportunities to ask me questions and collaborate with me on a monthly poem, and a community of Spiral-sisters at your side experiencing the magic of the Meter of the Month.
Open to all who identify as women or gender-nonconforming, with any level of poetic or metrical experience.
Follows a twelve-month cycle that syncs with the Nine Meters of the Month with additional resourxes for review and synthesis.
